CERTIFICATE IN PROFESSIONAL LAY COUNSELLING
(ACCREDITED BY GHANA PSYCHOLOGY COUNCIL)
The programme is designed purposely to equip participants with the clinical theory, knowledge and practical skills that they need to function both effectively and efficiently as Lay Counselors and to prepare participants adequately for certification and licensing by Ghana Psychology Council. There are five 5-day sessions in the programme.
Target Group: Nurses, Teachers, NGO Workers, Pastors, Church Workers, Community Leaders, Youth Leaders, Development Workers, Social Workers, and anyone interested in practicing as counselling as a profession.
Entry Requirement: At least an SSSCE or WASSCE with aggregate not more than 24.
Nurse Assistant Clinical (NAC), RGN, SRN, and Nurse Assistant Preventive (NAP) certificate.
