WOMEN BIBLE CLASS DONATES TO SUPPORT THE GLOBAL THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

The National Leadership of the Women Bible Class of the Global Evangelical Church, Ghana made a generous donation of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHÇ10, 000.00) to the Global Theological Seminary today to support the activities of the Seminary, specifically, to assist in the payment of the rent for the Seminary’s hostel facility.

The National Secretary of the Women Bible Class, Mrs. Beulah Nutsugah on behalf of the delegation, expressed their eagerness to revive its long-standing tradition of supporting Seminaries and seminarians. “This is something we have been doing in the past, adopting hospitals and Seminaries to support and help them where we could. We want to revisit these activities to ensure that the Seminary continues to benefits from our efforts,” said the Secretary.

According to the Acting Rector, Rev. Dr. M. K. I. Alloteh, the donation will help ensure that the Seminary’s hostel can remain operational, providing students with a safe and conducive residential environment for learning. The Acting Rector expressed his gratitude for the support highlighting the importance of the hostel facility for the students, particularly, those who come from distant presbyteries or other regions. “The hostel plays an important role in the lives of our students. Without it, many would have found it difficult to get a place to live to attend on-campus lectures. The donation is thus a timely one and of tremendous help to the Seminary. We are most grateful to the National Women Bible Class for their generosity,” said the Acting Rector.

He also took the opportunity to inform the leadership of the Women Bible Class of the infrastructural development that the Seminary would need to undertake in preparation towards attaining Presidential Charter. According to him, after the Seminary obtained accreditation from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, it must exhibit growth in student numbers, improved facilities and infrastructural development to qualify for the Presidential Charter. He also mentioned that personnel are undergoing development at Kenya to come and beef up the faculty of the Seminary.

As part of this initiative, the National Women Bible Class plans to continue to explore additional opportunities to support the institution indicating that it is like a seed planted that will geminate and grow.

Before they took their leave, the delegation met with the School of Ministry students and fraternized with them.

The event concluded with warm words of thanks from the Acting Rector and the students.
